Update: As of this post alterations are being made to the setting, hopefully adding to its depth and potential. They affect this particular post, as Hogintu will now have three suns and three moons. This means 'twin' becomes 'triple', 'four' 'six' and 'kwodok' 'heksok'.

The twin moons and twin stars of the Hogintuan sky make the kwodok a creature greatly feared by the living of the planet. For the celestial bodies shift through conjunctions, and seem to the observer to be four wandering eyes, the number of the beast.
A timid lifeform, the kwodok is almost certainly more scared of interlopers than they are of it. It conceals its shaggy form in the dark crevices of the sunderings, the caverns beneath sinkholes and the partially buried complexes of the blue deserts.
Kwodok
No. Enc.: 1D6+3
Move: 120' (40')
Alignment: Neutral
Armour Class: 6
Hit Dice: 2
Attacks: 1
Damage: 1D6
Morale: 6
Kwodok have excellent low-light vision and move nimbly across the roughest of ground. They cause inordinate fear in the inhabitants of Hogintu, halving morale scores.

Here are the playtest stats and encounter pattern for that new game I'm working on.

2 | if Approached, Retreat
3 | if targeted by an Offensive Action, any Actions with no Approach
1D6+3 | 2 | Fear Nimble Nightvision Fur

2 | if Approached, Retreat
3 | if targeted by an Offensive Action, any Actions with no Approach

The epithet 'Four Eyes' has a very different connotation here, I'm guessing.
When I saw the blue banner, my mind immediately assumed you were going to stat out a Hoovooloo (a hyperintelligent shade of blue.)
@ Jennie - Yep, quite different. I did spot the link, but I'd already settled on the numbers. Scratching it also seemed like a kind of giving in, and for those of us who've heard it said, there is perhaps some fun to be had in the idea of the tables being turned.
@ DocStout - That would be worth seeing. There must have been various takes on Hitchhiker's as a game, official or otherwise, so it's quite possible those stats are out there somewhere.
