Making things better

Happy New Year to everyone I haven't wished it to yet. Things can get much happier than they are, and it's down to us. I have some thoughts on that I'll be posting soon.

While I get back on top of things, I recommend reading this article by Loquacious of World of Wonder, posted at House of Paincakes. It's part of a series covering various aspects of game design, and has extracts from interviews with some very talented members of the community. And somehow I managed to get in there as well.

Some very cogent commentary from you in that interview.

And a Happy New Year to you too!

Thanks so much for pointing to my article. I really do value the things you have to say and the 'why' behind them, and was glad to feature your commentary.

Good post to start things off.

@ Trey - Cogent would be my middle name if I wasn't just plain old Porky. Just wait to see where it's going. Loquacious is really pushing us.

@ Ray Rousell - How were the kippers? I can almost smell them with all the talk and I'm going to have to keep an eye out for some now. Hopefully there was no Fawlty Towers moment...

@ Loquacious - It rewards the reading, even if the reader skips my bit - and maybe especially if the reader skips my bit. It was also a victim of fish to some degree, in this case the Magic series pushing it down the page, so this is also just helping with that, hopefully anyway.

@ The Happy Whisk - Yes indeed. I certainly can't complain. And now you've got me wanting to use the Needles line again, so I will: stay tuned - there's more coming!

I loved the roundtable feel to it. To have you and J at HoP... that's like planetary conjunction!

They've joined the network now as well, which is good news and a sign of the broad church approach HoP are taking to gaming. Your site would be a great fit too, especially with the miniatures. If you're interested, the sign-up page is here and I can have a go at answering any questions.
