News for fans of pulp sci-fi roleplaying or Tékumel, and anyone interested in The Drune's popular Humanspace Empires - there's a new play-by-post game coming up.
All the details are in this thread at OD&D Discussion.
If you've not heard of it, Humanspace Empires is a kind of prequel to an early RPG, Empire of the Petal Throne.
My review starts here and the pdf is here. The Drune's blog has a lot of material as do the two games currently on hold, Ancient Astronauts and Spaceswords & Glory.
I played in Spaceswords & Glory and had a great time. The likely setting for this game is also evocative: "a mining planet near the outer edge of Ketyel House Thurd space ... an almost planetary-scale hive of scum and villainy nearing ecological collapse".
