Another plug for an up-and-coming producer, to follow yesterday's mention of the mantis tank.This time it's the new 28mm greatcoats from Mad Robot Miniatures, because today is the last day they have the preorder discount.
On a similar subject, you might be interested in the rare Praetorian Imperial Guard Dylan Gould is selling, or a spleenrippa, or first edition Space Hulk. All links here. Also, I just found Col.Gravis' webstore, via Admiral Drax, which sells 28mm Colonial Empire kits.
Linked with that, a bit of flash fiction. You might remember Expansion Joints and Flash Fearsday, two flash fiction meetings hosted at Nine Worlds, Ten Thousand Things and Lunching on Lamias respectively. Both blogs have been quiet for some time, so to tide us over until they return I thought I'd combine the two, as Flash Fearsday Expanded.
It's very simple - the idea is to tell a story in just 15 words, and with a dash of horror.
"We will call them... greatcoats."
"Yes..."
"That men not see we make their lives small..."

Update: Davey at The Marienburg Gazette has found some good alternatives to the GW Praetorians, the Praetorian Guard from Victoria Miniatures; they have a lot of bits too.
