A few recent posts linked with the 6mm science fantasy wargame Epic, which was, and arguably still is, a major influence on 28mm 40K. Despite its four editions it has relatively low GW support.
- TFP has some pictures of the Heresy-themed first edition Space Marine.
- Kaptain Kobold at The Stronghold Rebuilt is playing using the original GW miniatures, but with another ruleset - the versatile Hordes of the Things.
- Sigur at Tale of Painters has been working on second edition plastics...
- ... and the army now being painted at Wargaming Workshop is the Eldar.
- Carl at Dropship Studio shows off some titans and knights and has plans to add more after being inspired by the new 10mm Dropzone Commander.
- ... and Phil at The Shell Case has a fuller analysis in a written review here.
- But if 6-10mm is too far off 28mm, Thorlongus is converting 15mm orks...
- ... Dan at Gunner's wargaming has part-sculpted 15mm space marines...

Kaptain Kobold was force to flee the UK to Australia for his use of GW figs with a different set of rules. You have been warned.
We're probably not far off believing that.
But if he was driven out, given the way things are going - not least in the GW vs. Chapterhouse case, which looks to me more like a miscalculation than ever - they might want to consider an amnesty. After all, having players ditch the rules has to be preferable to having them ditch the minis.
It's a tragic choice of destination too - with prices for GW products in Australia being what they are right now, he could well be buying less while he's there.
