Fairy light

My entry for this week's Microfiction Monday at Stony River, exactly 140 characters.

And so she placed the disc of the sun within; it rolled down the arch to the toe, warm light bathing all - and life came to be on the upper.

That must be one bright light! :O)

Interesting story. Is this fairy responsible for athlete's foot?

So, that's how we all got here? There have been times that I was convinced that life did indeed start in a smelly shoe! Maybe I was so far off after all!! Great one for the week!

Thanks very much, guys!

@ C'nor (Outermost_Toe) - That's metaphysical. If the life has feet, I'd hazard that yes, she is, although the inconvenience in question might well have an entirely different name, especially if the cultures arising don't go in for sport.

Wonderfully poetic and vivid...a new cosmology!

If your feet are ok then everything is possible! Uplifting!

well done
perhaps she is the inspiration fairy

I'm afraid as a new cosmology it has no legs..!

Thanks very much - it was definitely her inspiration.

Re, "The Poison Disc": What is a Sleestak?

Also, if it has shoes, it must have feet, right?

I've replied to C'nor at his post, but here's the source of the mention for anyone in the same shoes we were in, Sleestak Sunday this past weekend at Gothridge Manor.

Speaking from experience, I agree with Peggy--if your feet are okay everything is possible; if they hurt, life sucks! Loved your mm though. Cheers~

Yes, you and I seemed to be on the same wavelength on this one. Very nice work!

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I'm very happy you like it. The thing about a challenge like this though is that every week brings a new blank page. We'll see if I can keep it up..!
