I've never seen this show before. I have though, sold a great many Thomas blankets at craft shows. We'd hang the Thomas blankets over the table and the kids were like little magnets.
@ The Angry Lurker & ArmChairGeneral - It's just gorgeous. I'm not sure the target audience appreciates just what they're seeing. I know I didn't.
@ The Happy Whisk - This is an interesting episode to watch as an adult, and from 1984 as far as I can tell. You can probably find most if not all on YouTube. There are UK and US versions - 'RS' is for Ringo Starr, the ex-Beatle, who narrated the first two series in the UK.
They haven't made that episode yet, but mental atmosphere aside, as worlds, pastimes and in target audiences the two could yet overlap.
I didn't know you had an interest, but this and the love of terrain you mentioned yesterday make me wonder whether or not you've experimented with wargaming.

When Thomas set out, he had no idea that he'd soon come face to face with the Emperor's Wrath, as embodied by a chapter of Space Marines.
"Heresy!" cried the chapter's chaplain as fiery hell was unleashed on the unsuspecting train.
