This is my entry for today's writing challenge at One Stop Poetry, inspired by the intriguing work of Lauren Randolph, and in particular this fun, funky and ever so slightly freaky photo.
I've gone for the Flash 55 option, i.e. 55 words or less - it's 55 - and some other criteria which this text is arguably a bit looser on.
_It'll happen, they say. April 11, 2011. Things are gonna get turned on their heads. I don't know. Maybe a day. So long as the house don't pull away, I can sleep on the ceiling. Got water stacked right the way up and cushions on top of the fridge. Prices'll go through the roof though.

ok now you got me wondering what is going to happen tomorrow...hmm...
Like your 55 take on the prompt in making the woman a harbinger of life on the rise.
@ Brian Miller - Sorry about that, but who knows, you might thank me..!
@ dustus - Thanks! She swept us off our feet.
Well, we don't want to the prices to go through the roof. Great little piece, fun photo.
Fun, distinctive take on the photo.
@ The Happy Whisk - No we don't, and certainly not the fridge, and most of all not Ethel. She'd not only make a big hole, but much loving-prepared goodness would pass beyond knowledge.
@ Steve Isaak - Thanks! The prompt was both of those things too so I really can't take very much of the credit.
